SO I was browsing the internet web with some friends of mine the other night and by other night, I mean within the last hour. I was looking at concerts in the area and stumbled across an ace venue in the wckr park of chicago ills. It is called subterranean. It’s played host to such highly famous acts as grizzly bear, caribou, cold war kids, death from above 1928, of montreal, and hosts crazy boheme-esque dance parties every friday and saturday night of the calendar year. It shall serve as a baller place to be in the upcumming years. (see what i did there?)
Also, I scouted some other future locale venues, of which the specifics of my next sentences shall outline in detail.
Tim - Andrew Bird is playing a free show at the pritzker pavill’s on Sept. 3.
Tim, Pete, Maself - crystal castles is having a free show at the double door on june 18th.
Tim - ted leo + his friends and about 6 other bands (mucca pazza, gil mantera’s party dream, bear hands) are having a donation requested cover show around wckr park on may 31-june 1
Pete - islands is having a show on june 2 at the logan square auditorium for 15 euros.
t,p,k - wckr park fest is on july 28/29 in the EXACT SAME AREA as the neighborhood, holy crap. amazing artists include : THE thermals, MAN MAN, JJ Grey & MOFRO, maritime, and about 25 other bands. cover=$5..wow.
